Motability Operations, the company that manages the car scheme for disabled people, rewarded its outstanding business partners at the annual Motability
Supplier Awards.

Picking up the award for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Partner, Allied Vehicles, the UK’s leading supplier of WAVs, was recognised for it’s excellence and performance that continues to exceed expectations.

Allied Vehicles strives to provide the widest and best choice of quality mobility cars to wheelchair users, families, carers and transport providers.

David Facenna, Allieds national sales and logistics manager, said:  It is fantastic that we’ve been recognised as Motability’s leading WAV partner.  The number of WAV applications has grown dramatically over the last two years and we are proud that we are able to respond to this need and provide customers with a great range of accessible vehicles to choose from.

The awards took place at the Celtic Manor Hotel in Wales. Hosted by BBC newsreader Huw Edwards,  the night’s raffle raised £6,700 for Motability Charitable Funds, with prizes generously donated by many of Motability's suppliers.

Mike Betts, chief executive of Motability, commented: “This is a hugely exciting time for Motability Operations and we are delighted by the significant achievements of Allied Vehicles and all our annual award winners.

"The Motability Car Scheme has grown considerably over the last 12 months with yet more makes and models available and customer satisfaction reaching an all-time high. It is the passion and dedication of all the Supplier Award winners that has made this possible and I am proud of their contribution.”
