01/04/2009

Many wheelchair users throughout the UK have difficulty finding a vehicle that meets their access requirements.  This was the case for Brian and Barbara Parrot from Fawley in Southampton before they got chatting to Allied Mobility!

Difficulties

Barbara, who is a wheelchair user and her husband Brian have had a number of different cars throughout the years but none of them were able to provide them with the access they needed.

“Brian and I just couldn’t seem to find a car that was right for us.  We’re getting older and Brian couldn’t keep lifting me in and out all over the place whenever we had to take a trip”, explained Barbara.

In searching for their new accessible vehicle Brian and Barbara got in touch with Allied Mobility, the UK’s leading provider of wheelchair accessible vehicles, to see if they could help.

Excellent Choice

When Barbara saw an ad for Allied Mobility she contacted them immediately. “This was the first time that we’ve had to get a car that could accommodate my wheelchair and Allied has a great reputation so we gave them a call. I’m so glad we did!”

After checking out what Allied had to offer Barbara and Brian decided that the Peugeot Horizon was just right for them.  The Horizon, based on the Peugeot Partner, offers optimum wheelchair accessibility with lightweight folding rear ramp and electric winch. For safety the Horizon has high quality wheelchair restraints and seatbelt and it comes at an ultra low Advance Payment to boot!

“Our Horizon is absolutely fantastic, life is so much better for us now. Travelling has been made so easy with the low ramp and winch!” said Barbara.

Out and About

Since getting their Horizon, Brian and Barbara have been able to enjoy getting out and about so much more.

“The weekly shop is made easy and it’s less hassle to go to see our family in Surrey, which is a 60 mile trip. We also go and visit our son David in Colchester.

The car has great space so we always take lots of luggage with us but we always come back with three times as much!” reclaimed Barbara.  “We’re going to take the car on a special trip to Cornwall soon for a golden wedding anniversary,” she continued.

Top Notch Service

Barbara and Brian were delighted with the service they have received from Allied Mobility.  “We really can’t thank Allied enough it was the most hassle free service experience we’ve ever had. From start to finish all the staff were wonderful.  We’ll definitely be seeing them again in five years time when our Motability contract is up. A heart felt thank you to all!
