Holiday of a Lifetime for Lucky Lynn

Lynn James and her family, from Treharris, in Wales, are preparing for the holiday of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris after scooping £500 in an Allied Mobility competition featured in the winter edition of Access All Areas.

Lynn is planning to treat the whole family by putting the money towards a holiday to coincide with her son's birthday.  Thomas, who is 12, suffers from epilisy, which until a few years ago restricted where the family could go on holiday. 

Like many of our winners, Lynn couldn't believe her luck.  She enthuses: “You enter these things but you never think you’ll be the winner!”  

Lynn continues: “We’re going to use it as a deposit towards a holiday to Disneyland Paris - the kids are over the moon!”  

“We used to be limited where we could go on holiday due to Thomas’s condition," adds Lynn.  "However that changed three years ago after he got a special implant which reduces both the frequency and severity of his seizures and also improves his mood. 

"It’s been great as it gives us more freedom when planning holidays."

Lynn and her partner, Philip, also have two daughters, Amelia, 7 and Lilly, 3.

"All of the kids love Disney so a holiday to Disneyland Paris was a no brainer," explains Lynn. 

"We've never been on a holiday abroad as a family - we’re so excited! 

“We're planning to go in early November as it’s Thomas’s birthday and he loves fireworks so it will fall perfectly for bonfire night.  I think it might be his best birthday ever!”
