One Big Cheque for One Big Day Winner

Ann Culham, from Maidstone in Kent, is celebrating after she scooped a £500 Mobility Freedom Voucher from Allied Mobility.  

The mobility prize ran at the Motability One Big Day events around the UK during the summer. Ann, who entered the competition at One Big Day in Colchester, was thrilled to win the prize. 

Ann commented: “I just can’t believe I've won something!  It was such a lovely surprise when I got the phone call.  My husband and I just went to One Big Day for a look around.  We visited the Allied Mobility stand where I filled in an entry card.  I never expected to win!”

Mobility Aids

Ann, who uses a wheelchair, already has some ideas as to what she might use the money for, saying: “Winning the voucher has came at a great time as I need a new battery for my powered wheelchair and I’m also thinking I might replace my stair lift as it’s getting a bit old.  Owning mobility aids such as these really help to keep me independent so the voucher will come in very handy.”

Ann, who's been married to her husband Terry for 46 years, added: “My independence is really important to me.  I have four grandchildren who we visit regularly so a new battery for my powered wheelchair will allow me to keep up with them!”
