Yes. All of Allied Mobility's cars, MPVs and minibuses are fully wheelchair accessible and are specially converted to allow you to travel whilst remaining in your wheelchair.
What is a WAV?
A WAV is a wheelchair accessible vehicle. These vehicles have been specially converted to allow you to travel or drive the vehicle whilst remaining in your wheelchair. A WAV can also be known as a mobility car, wheelchair car, disabled car, disabled van or disability car.
Can wheelchair-using passengers travel alongside other seated passengers in an accessible vehicle?
Of course! Our WAVs are specially converted to allow just that. Unlike many other WAVs on the market, most of our vehicles come with rear passenger seating as standard to allow groups to travel together.
Yes. We offer a range of wheelchair accessible MPVs that can accommodate a maximum of driver, wheelchair passenger and up to six other passengers or driver, two wheelchair passengers and up to four other passengers.
We also offer a range of accessible minibuses that can seat up to a maximum of 17 people and are built exactly to your specific requirements.
Yes. We are able to supply adapted vehicles specially built for wheelchair user-drivers that can feature remote-activated access ramps and other adaptations including power tailgate, push/pull hand controls and electric handbrakes to provide maximum independence.
