Allied Mobility hit the dizzy heights of fame recently when they appeared on German national television!
Tour operator Schottland fuer Alle (Scotland for All) got in touch with our team in search of wheelchair accessible vehicles for hire. It was to be an extra special rental however as the company’s latest tour was in fact being filmed for an upcoming documentary to highlight accessibility within Scotland.
Take the High and Low Roads
With Allied Mobility, hiring a vehicle couldn’t be easier due to its wide selection of mobility cars on offer and expert advice at hand. On this occasion, Schottland fuer Alle required a wheelchair accessible minibus with space for three passengers travelling in their wheelchairs and seven seated passengers. Allied Mobility was more than happy to help and had just the vehicle to suit.
“We’ve been working with the Allied Mobility rental team who help us get it right for our disabled customers.”
The Flexilite™ minibus has an easy to use, lightweight and ultra-strong wheelchair ramp which folds away neatly within the vehicle. Once inside, the wheelchair user is secured by high quality front and rear wheelchair restraints, while lap and diagonal seatbelts ensure optimum safety for all passengers.
Schottland fuer Alle’s spokesperson, Andreas Schneider, spoke about the importance of finding the right wheelchair accessible vehicle to suit particular needs.
He said: “Getting around can be a real challenge when on holiday – both for individuals and families. That’s why we’ve been working with the Allied Mobility hire team who help us get it right for our disabled customers.”
Tourism for All
Marina Di Duca of VisitScotland also offered a very welcome endorsement for Allied Mobility.
She enthused: “It’s fantastic to hear about businesses like Schottland fuer Alle and Allied Mobility offering tours for visitors with access requirements and it’s great that Scotland’s accessibility has been showcased on German television.”
