Pamela Hamer and Gareth Hughes are enjoying new found freedom thanks to their new mobility car from Allied Vehicles.
Pamela, from Cardiff, was in great need of a wheelchair accessible car for her partner Gareth, whom she cares for. Gareth suffers from Pick’s Disease, a form of dementia that affects his freedom of movement. Gareth is a wheelchair user and transport used to be something of a problem for him and Pamela. And they thought they couldn’t face the stress or hassle involved with finding a car they could get around in.
Then Pamela and Gareth came to Allied Vehicles, the UK’s leading supplier of accessible vehicles, to find a car that would be suitable for Gareth and his wheelchair.
They chose the Peugeot Horizon and are delighted with the freedom it’s brought. Pamela says: “With Gareth’s poor mobility, getting him in and out of our old car was becoming extremely difficult but with the Peugeot Horizon it’s simple. The ramp is great and so easy to use.”
Pamela and Gareth can now enjoy their journeys to the supermarket or their longer weekend trips.
“We often drive to West Wales for the day in the car”, comments Pamela. “The journey is very pleasant thanks our new Horizon”
At first Gareth and Pamela were wary of joining the Motability Scheme and choosing a mobility car because they didn’t want any stress.
“I needn’t have worried. I came to Allied Vehicles and guess what? Stress free!” added Pamela.
Gareth and Pamela not only love their car but are extremely happy with the service provided by Allied.
“Everyone has been so helpful, courteous and efficient from the sales rep to the delivery men. They always kept in touch through letters and phone calls so I never had to worry”.
The Peugeot Horizon is available exclusively from Allied Vehicles and begins at Nil Advance Payment. It ‘s fully equipped with a one piece, lightweight folding ramp, electric winch system and full safety restraints for optimum access and safety.
