The Kidz to Adultz event has always been a terrific show to attend. There’s so much energy and fun to be had when speaking with so many kids, families and carers and the Scottish show, which we attended this past Thursday, was no different.
Taking place at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh, this annual exhibition is a great showcase for companies and charities which specialise in offering goods and services for disabled children and their families.
Meeting Disability Needs
We were displaying two of our most popular vehicles in the Allied Mobility range: Ford Independence™ and Peugeot Horizon™. With kids of all ages attending the event, the Independence™ proved popular due to the headroom and space inside the vehicle, together with a choice of seating layouts, which make this an ideal wheelchair accessible car for larger families. With many attendees using a variety of different mobility aids, the width of the Horizon™ was a popular option as it’s able to fit a variety of wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs and power chairs. With this vehicle also being the lowest priced Peugeot WAV on the Motability Scheme, it’s easy to understand why it’s the UK’s best-selling wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Although Kidz to Adultz Scotland is only a one-day show, there is so much to see and do. The most popular part of the day was the various free seminars on offer. These sessions offered families, carers and children the chance to share their experiences and question individuals about current affairs in the disability sector.
A huge thank you to everyone at Disabled Living for creating such a momentous event as Kidz to Adultz Scotland!
