During your free home demonstration, your Mobility Advisor will run through how to operate your vehicle, showing you how the wheelchair user enters and exits the vehicle and how they should be safely secured using the restraint system. If you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) and you have 12 months award length remaining, then you are eligible for the Motability Scheme.
