As regards wheelchair-accessible vehicles, there are four different types of WAVs: rear passenger, front passenger, wheelchair-driven, and internal transfer.
What type of wheelchair do you use?
It is important to check the dimensions (length, width, height) and compatibility of the wheelchair you will be travelling with, to ensure that its dimensions are suitable for the vehicle’s access ramp and the space available inside the vehicle.
Number of passengers?
Think about the people you’ll be travelling with regularly and how many extra seats you’ll need. Some of our WAVs are also fitted with ISOFIX seats.

How much does a WAV cost?
The price of a wheelchair-accessible vehicle depends on its size and the model you choose. We offer a range of WAVs to suit different budgets and circumstances. Our most affordable wheelchair-accessible vehicles are the compact Peugeot Rifter Horizon™ and the popular Ford Connect Freedom™. With both of these wheelchair-accessible cars, you can opt for a long-wheelbase version, which offers extra space for a minimal additional cost. Alternatively, for a higher price, you can choose the Volkswagen Caddy Vista™, one of our most luxurious models.
The larger Ford Custom Independence™ is ideal for larger families and groups. The long-wheelbase option even allows you to transport two wheelchair users at the same time. If you wish to drive the vehicle yourself or sit as a front passenger, we have the Ford Connect Avance™. You can expect a higher price for this wheelchair-accessible vehicle designed for people with reduced mobility, as its design is more complex and advanced.

How long will it take to get a WAV?
With many other suppliers of WAVs, you will need to choose and order the base vehicle from a car dealership, and then wait for it to become available. The car will then be sent away to be converted into a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. This means it often takes months to build and deliver your vehicle. Our wheelchair-accessible cars, on the other hand, are already converted into wheelchair-accessible vehicles at our own conversion facility.
This means that a large number of our wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available at short notice and can be delivered within a few weeks. We work with specialist dealers throughout Europe, and your local supplier may often have wheelchair-accessible cars in stock, ready for immediate delivery.
