Allied Mobility is delighted to announce that Val Walker, from Peterborough, is the lucky winner of a £1000 Freedom Voucher courtesy of a new competition which ran at this year’s Mobility Roadshow.
The annual Mobility Roadshow aims to promote mobility products and services for disabled people and as the UK’s leading supplier of wheelchair accessible vehicles, Allied was delighted to attend. With 12 vehicles on display, Allied had one of the largest displays at the show.
Allied Mobility’s Freedom Voucher competition gave visitors the chance to win £1000 towards mobility products or services of their choice, by simply completing an entry card.
Birthday Luck
Val, who lives with her husband Steve, was delighted to win the competition and it was extra special as she had just celebrated her 60th birthday. She commented: “I was really pleased when I found out I had won the competition, I had just celebrated my birthday the day before I found out, so it was a nice present!”
Allied Mobility advisor, Richard Holmes, visited Val at her home to present her with the voucher. After receiving her prize, Val spoke of what she intended to spend the money on: “We have a conservatory but due to my disability I can’t really sit in it as we don’t have suitable chairs so I’m hoping to buy a reclining mobility chair which I can transfer more easily in and out of than I would a normal chair. This will let me enjoy my conservatory and spend more time with my family.”
Val entered the competition simply by filling in an entry form at the Allied Mobility stand, Val said “entering the competition was easy, I just completed an entry card when I visited the Allied Mobility stand and popped it in the competition box, I couldn’t believe I actually won!”
