DNEX Races into Town

This year’s Disability North Exhibition (DNEX) moved to pastures new as the show found a new home at Newcastle Racecourse.  Allied Mobility took the opportunity to showcase the UK’s most popular disabled car, the Peugeot Horizon and provide information on its full range of mobility vehicles.

DNEX is the largest disabled event in the north of England.  The show gives disabled people and their carers the opportunity to come and view the latest products and services designed to help people live more independent lives.

Disabled Cars on Display

The free exhibition was opened by Newcastle United legend Malcolm McDonald who proved popular with the locals.  The exhibitors covered a variety of disability related issues ranging from disabled cars and digital technology to mobility aids and accessible leisure facilities.

The Peugeot Horizon mobility car, on display at Allied Mobility’s stand, proved a hit with visitors, many of whom were keen to find out more about the recently launched automatic Horizon.  Mobility advisors were on hand to provide information on Allied’s range of wheelchair accessible vehicles and demonstrate the excellent accessibility features of the Horizon including the FlatFold™ wheelchair ramp, electric winch and wheelchair restraints.
