Ilona Turner is celebrating after finding out she is the lucky winner of a £1,000 Freedom Voucher competition which was run by Allied Mobility at various events across the UK.
The mum of two, from Livingston, was delighted to discover her entry card was picked out of the thousands received for the competition.
Ilona comments: “I can’t believe I’ve won! We went to the Allied Mobility Fun Day at Blair Drummond Safari Park back in October. I filled in the entry card but didn’t give it a second thought as I never expected to win. I was so surprised and delighted when Allied contacted me to say I was the winner!
Family Treat
Ilona’s son James, 11, who’s nickname is Chillie, has Leschnyhan Syndrome and uses a wheelchair but that doesn’t stop him leading an active life. When asked what the family will be up to over Christmas, Ilona said: “Chillie is a big fan of skiing so we’ll be going to our local Snowsports Centre where they have specially adapted skis. We go every month and Chillie loves it!”
Ilona continues: “To get us in the Christmas spirit I’m taking Chillie and my daughter, Cienna, to see the Snowman ballet, we all can’t wait for that.”
When asked what she might use the voucher for, Ilona said: “With a fifteen year old daughter and eleven year old son I don’t think I’ll have a shortage of suggestions but I think I’m going to treat us all and get an iPad and an iTouch.
“We’ve also got a Peugeot Independence wheelchair car and we’re looking to change it next year. We’ve been looking at the Volkswagen Vista so we might put some of the money towards the Advance Payment for that.”
