The Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (WDSA) is the UK’s national governing body for wheelchair dance and is passionate about making dance available for people of all abilities.
The association has recently been working towards increasing the number of children taking part in the sport and has introduced new mascot, Tedwood Bear, to launch ‘The Tedwood Club’ campaign.
During the campaign, the WDSA plans to take Tedwood to schools and communities to spread the word that wheelchair dance is something that everyone can take part in.
Meet Tedwood
On 31st May, people will have the chance to meet Tedwood in real life at his official launch at the Lakeside School in Welwyn Garden City. The free event promises to be an exciting day, running from 2 – 4pm, and will showcase some of the WDSA’s best performers in wheelchair dance displays.
Attendees will even have the exciting opportunity to take home their very own Tedwood!
For more information about the event, or to find out when Tedwood will be in your area, email tedwood@wdsauk.co.uk or visit his website www.wdsauktedwood.weebly.com
