Disability charity Motability is looking for participants to take part in its latest fund raising event – Walkability – to help raise money for some of the most disadvantaged children and adults in the UK.
The 12-mile walk on Wirral Way, from Hooton to West Kirby, will take place this Saturday, 2nd March. Each participant is asked to raise sponsorship and pay a £20 registration fee.
Help Fund Wheelchair Accessible Cars
Aine Canavan, from Motability, commented: “All fundraising efforts will greatly benefit disabled people who cannot afford the right wheelchair accessible car or adaptations for their needs, or to help young disabled people with driving lessons.
This scenic route is accessible to everybody, meaning anyone can get involved, including wheelchair, scooter or powered wheelchair users.
A shorter 5.5-mile route is also open to those who would prefer to walk a shorter distance, such as children or those with reduced mobility. Children pay a reduced registration fee of £10.
To take part call Motability on 0845 166 8786.
