Independence Reigns

Donna’s parents, Mary and Patrick, had a hand in choosing the new car and were pointed in the direction of Allied Mobility after reading an advert in a magazine.  They hadn’t had a wheelchair accessible vehicle before but knew they needed lots of interior space for Donna’s wheelchair.  The family got in touch with Allied and local mobility consultant, Karen, brought Independence™ to their door for a home demonstration.

Both Patrick and Mary regularly drive the car, along with Donna’s carers, and find it a lovely and comfortable car to travel in.  The family love the space they’ve got inside too and have used their Independence™ to make a family trip to the seaside.  Mary says: “We use the car loads – it’s great for Donna because now she can make it out to all of her clubs and social events with ease.

“When we take trips together as a family it’s brilliant because there’s so much space inside – we can easily pack up all of our gear for the day without having to cram it all in.”

Simple Process

The whole family found mobility consultant, Karen, really helpful throughout the process of getting their new wheelchair accessible
vehicle. Mary comments: “Karen was really lovely, we can’t praise her enough.  She has a great sense of humour and is really personable so we felt at ease throughout the whole process.

“Everyone we’ve dealt with at Allied has been great.  Getting our new car went really smoothly – from the test drive to the handover on delivery.  We’re so pleased with our new wheelchair accessible vehicle!”
