Having been on the lookout for a new WAV, Ian Bowler who lives in Armagh with his wife Sandra, tells us what made him choose Peugeot Horizon™ as his new mobility car.

Finding a New WAV with Allied Mobility

Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in January 2007, Ian is a wheelchair user with WAV experience, so he knew exactly what he wanted from his next car:

“When I was looking for a new vehicle, I wanted to sit closer to the driver,” he tells us.

While searching online, Ian came across Allied Mobility’s Facebook page and privately left his number for a mobility advisor to get in touch.

Expressing how easy it was to go from initial contact on Facebook to having a free home demonstration arranged for him, Ian says,

“I left my phone number, somebody gave me a ring and from that we had the home demo.”

Talking about why he chose Horizon™, Ian makes note of how easy it is to get in and out of the vehicle thanks to the free electric-assist winch:

“It’s made things easier on Sandra and the carer because they don’t have to push me up all the way. All they have to do is hook me up and then the electric-assist winch pulls me in.”

Going the Distance

Happy with his new WAV, Ian tells us why he opted to get his disability car from Allied Mobility as opposed to another converter in Northern Ireland:

“I could have gone with a company that’s just up the road, 10 miles away. Allied Mobility, they were much, much better.”

He concludes, “They didn’t just want to sell you a car, they wanted to be part of your family. Nice!”
