Hosted annually by Blue Badge Style, the disabled-ran organisation sets the gold standard in stylish accessibility, encouraging the wider hospitality industry to get accessibility right for disabled people across their venues while keeping the design stylish, thoughtful and innovative.

As champions of not only accessibility, but stylish accessibility, Blue Badge Style launched the Blue Badge Access Awards to celebrate and reward people, hotels, restaurants, leisure and tourism venues who have a design led approach to accessibility and are getting ‘accessibility with style’ right.

Blue Badge Access Awards 2025

Set to take place on 1st May 2025, this year’s event is being held at Gaucho Restaurant in Piccadilly, London, and with Gaucho Restaurant, Cardiff, winning last year’s Best Restaurant Award due to its spacious, accessible and awe-inspiring design, as well as their exceptional food, this year’s guests and nominees are definitely in for a chic fine dining experience!

Glitz and Glamour

As advocates for style led accessibility, it’s no surprise that the Blue Badge Awards is a real night of glitz and glamour! Last year’s event was attended by big names across the hospitality and disability world such as Simon Minty from Gogglebox, Kate Nicholls, OBE, CEO of UK Hospitality and Government Disability and Chef Michael Caines. This year’s Awards are to be no different with celebrities from the world of gastronomy and entertainment set to make an appearance.

And the Nominees Are…

There are 11 awards to be presented to venues and individuals that have truly excelled in providing exceptional accessibility, style and design. Last year’s winners included venues based in Hampshire to the Maldives, with special recognition given to the late Charlie Lyons, founder of Sesame Access, for Outstanding Achievement in Accessibility.
