2019 Mobility Events Round-Up

With preparations starting back in 2018 for this year’s mobility event season, we were eager to find four of the best accessible venues the UK has to offer.

We were absolutely delighted when over 1,000 people joined us at our chosen attractions; The Tank Museum, Brooklands Museum, Sage Gateshead and Eureka! Children’s Museum.  Now the dust has settled on yet another brilliant year, we look back at some of the highlights.

Going the Distance

We travelled a total of 1,262 miles to showcase our full selection of wheelchair accessible vehicles.  It was a particularly special time for Allied Mobility as we excitedly launched our brand-new Peugeot Rifter Horizon™ for the first time at the Tank Museum, Bovington, back in May.

Mike Glen and his wife Barbara, from Gosport, had come to the South-West mobility day specifically to see it – and they weren’t disappointed!

Mobility Day Memories

For Allied Mobility, meeting and helping old and new friends is always the most important part of our mobility days.  Whether it’s your first time considering a wheelchair accessible vehicle or you’re coming back to look at what’s available for your next, we love seeing you!  Our friendly mobility consultants have a wealth of experience and knowledge of disabled cars and provided invaluable help and advice to those who attended.

Fantastic Feedback

 We were lucky enough to be joined throughout the year by our fantastic mobility partners, including Mobility Solutions, who brought along their selection of daily living aids and mobility products.  One visitor to our South-East event even mentioned: “It was very pleasing to see that Allied Mobility had invited along other companies that compliment mobility, particularly the selection of wheelchairs on offer.”

We value your feedback and always take this forward when considering future venues.  For our North-East mobility day at Sage Gateshead, it was the first time we had opted to try a city centre venue.

Perfect Partners

Alongside our mobility product specialists, we were joined throughout the year by a host of disability organisations and charities including DMUK, Q’Straint and People’s Parking.  Each lent a supportive ear and provided sound guidance on matters ranging from Blue Badge abuse, disabled parking schemes and tips on ensuring you and your wheelchair are safely secured in your mobility vehicle.

Our mobility days would not be possible without the brilliant atmosphere created by all those who attend.  Having the chance to show our full selection of vehicles to those looking to travel in their wheelchair, is priceless to us.

Looking Ahead to 2020
