Allied Mobility’s most recent event was held at the fantastic RAF museum in Hendon, North London and proved to be a brilliant day for everyone who attended.

The event, which also played host to various local mobility stores and disability charities, saw over 200 people come out to enjoy the sunshine and visit the award winning attraction.

Taking to the Skies

RAF London is home to a huge range of aircraft and offers a fascinating day out for all ages.  We struck it lucky with the weather and enjoyed sunshine and blue skies to welcome our guests.  People came from all over London and the Home Countires to see Allied Mobility’s entire family of wheelchair accessible vehicles including the UK’s favourite WAV – the Peugeot Partner Horizon™.

“We love taking our wheelchair accessible vehicles out on the road and meeting people all over the country.”

Horizon™ is the perfect solution for couples or small families and combines innovative accessibility features like the EasyLift™ ramp with style and compact design.  Available in the S model, which retains the original Peugeot seating, or the SE model which provides extra space for larger wheelchairs, it’s easy to see why Horizon™ is the most popular wheelchair accessible vehicle on the Motability Scheme.

Fun for Everyone

With so much on display, there was plenty for people of all ages to enjoy.  In additon to Allied Mobility other exhibitors provided everything from valuable advice about disabled motoring and the Motability Scheme to finding your nearest wheelchair dance class or (aptly) taking to the skies with disabled flying charity Aerobility.  We also had local mobility stores on hand with a wide selection of useful products ranging from rise and recline chairs to walking sticks and daily living aids, all of which proved really popular with visitors.

A Great Success

Allied Mobility sales director, Peter Facenna, comments: “We’re really pleased that so many people came out to enjoy our London Mobility Day and received lots of positive feedback about the event.

“We love taking our wheelchair accessible vehicles out on the road and meeting people all over the country.

“Our events offer a great opportunity to people to see all our vehicles in one place and there’s plenty of advice on hand from our expert mobility advisors.”

With more mobility events planned throughout the year, keep an eye out on our Facebook and Twitter to see when we’ll be near you!
