Allied Mobility is proud to share that we are Official Super Partners of the Superhero Series, powered by Marvel, the UK’s only disability sports series.
Accessibility and inclusion are core drivers of Superhero Series. Founded by Athletics Paralympian Sophia Warner, in 2016, Superhero Series was created due to a lack of large-scale sporting events for disabled people, offering an inclusive and accessible space to enjoy sport.
As the UK’s leading wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) manufacturer and supplier, accessibility is at the heart of all that we do. We convert our WAVs from stylish base models that combine all the modern comfort, quality and features you would expect from a standard car with the added benefit of wheelchair accessibility. The result is a range of WAVs that serve to make wheelchair users feel truly included and free to travel with ease and confidence, without ever feeling set apart.
It’s our shared belief in accessibility and inclusion that makes us so proud to partner with the Superhero Series during their 10th anniversary year.
What is the Superhero Series?
The Series is made up of fun and inclusive sporting events called “missions” where disabled people (Superheroes) and their trusty Sidekicks (friends, family and carers) can enjoy sport without worrying about cut-off times and accessibility equipment.
Split across summer and winter, the series includes at home and in-person events – offering an accessible sporting extravaganza for all abilities.
Up Next: The Superhero Tri
The next event in the Superhero Series is the Superhero Tri which is set to mark the charities 10th anniversary with a KA-BOOM!
The Tri is a fully inclusive, festival-style triathlon where everyday Superheroes lead the way. There are no cut-off times and all equipment is welcome, including powerchairs, adaptive bikes, floats and more. Do as much or as little as you like, with free entertainment, sports tasters and big 10th birthday energy throughout the day.
The Superhero Tri consists of:
- Sprint: 150m swim, 3km bike, 1km push/run
- Half: 400m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km push/run
- Full: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km push/run
Fly solo, relay it, take it on together or mix it up – anything goes!

Everyone is welcome but at least one team member must consider themselves to have a disability.
