Allied Mobility on the Road

The Allied Mobility team took to the road again, bringing the market-leading Peugeot Horizon to London as we attended the Naidex South exhibition.

Held at the Excel arena, Naidex South is the only event of its kind in London.  The show offered people with disabilities, their carers and families the chance to see the latest mobility products and services available, including specially adapated mobility cars.

Mobility Cars on Show

An estimated 1.4 million people with disabilities live in and around London so it was no surprise Naidex South proved a big draw, with visitors streaming in the doors from the minute the show opened.

Allied Mobility took the opportunity to showcase the top selling wheelchair accessible vehicle on the Motability Scheme, the Peugeot Horizon. Mobility consultants Karen and Paul were on hand to demonstrate the Horizon and provide information on Allied’s full range of wheelchair cars.  Many visitors were particularly keen to hear about the new Horizon SE, which comes with a wider ramp for those using larger wheelchairs.

Accessible Awareness

Karen commented: “It’s always nice to come to shows like this as you get to meet so many people.  It’s surprising how many people don’t know wheelchair accessible vehicles exist so events like Naidex South give us an opportunity to show visitors how great these cars are.”

“I’ve got to meet lots of lovely people including Kay and her assistance dog, Drummer.  I’d love to have taken Drummer home with me but had to settle for a photo instead!”

As well as information and advice on products and services, the two day event also included a range of seminars, a sports arena and a special zone dedicated to children.
