Animal Magic

Allied Mobility’s third event of 2017 took place at Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire with over 320 people experiencing a fun day filled with glorious sunshine, fantastic wildlife and the opportunity to find out more about wheelchair accessible vehicles.

The event, which also played host to various local mobility store and disability charities, gave visitors, young and old the chance to enjoy a wide range of animal activities.

Exploring the Animal Kingdom

Paradise Wildlife Park is Hertfordshire’s premier zoo and visitors could find out more about the products and services on offer from the partner organisations in attendance as well as experiencing some amazing animals.

Whether you wanted to feed the tigers and lions, meet the meerkats or get close to the monkeys and reptiles, there was something for everyone. As well as showcasing over 400 animals, the park also has special events every 15 minutes where visitors can find out more information about a selected species or even get some hands-on time with them. Mobility Day attendees got up close to a wide selection of animals including a bearded dragon, albino ferret, tortoise and royal python.

Driving for Perfection

In addition to the wonderful Paradise Wildlife Park attractions, visitors could also view the entire Allied Mobility range including the UK’s favourite wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) – the Peugeot Horizon™. As the most popular WAV on the Motability scheme, Horizon™ is ideal for those looking for a vehicle which is stylish, safe and offers optimum accessibility.

Visitors were also impressed by the popular Volkswagen Vista™. Unlike many other wheelchair accessible vehicles, Vista™ retains Volkswagen’s original rear seating providing ample space for driver, wheelchair passenger and up to four seated passengers.

In addition, both the Ford Freedom™ and Independence™ received plenty of interest. The Freedom™ combines ultra-modern comfort and style with the unique EasyGlide™ access ramp while Independence™ is perfect for larger families or small groups requiring wheelchair accessible transport.

Part of the Pack

Many of our partners had attended previous Allied Mobility events including Newlife, Motability, DMUK, AM Racing, Brig-Ayd, People’s Parking, Oak Tree Mobility, elap and Elite Mobility had all been present at shows this year and it was great to have them back. We also welcomed the Wheelchair Dance Sport Association and look forward to seeing them at future events.
