Frances Bolland on her Fully-Electric eHorizon™ WAV

Chatting in their beautiful Victorian house in Newcastle, we caught up with former teacher Frances and her husband, Dale, to find out why they chose eHorizon™ as their new electric WAV.

As Frances’s mobility declined following a multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis, she decided to switch to a wheelchair accessible vehicle to make travelling safer and easier for both her and Dale.

Why Choose eHorizon™?

When looking for a replacement for their old WAV, Dale tells us why they opted for eHorizon™:

Before the couple had a WAV, they would use wheelchair accessible taxis to get about and prior to that, when Francis was a bit more mobile, Dale would help lift Frances into the passenger seat of a standard car.

Reflecting on how travelling in a WAV compares to travelling in taxis and standard cars, Dale notes, “It’s much easier and safer than all the previous things that we’ve done.”

Is a WAV Worth it?

Thinking about the ways in which eHorizon™ has impacted their daily life, Dale further emphasises how easy it is for the pair to just ‘get up and go’:

“The electric wheelchair accessible vehicle is really useful, actually getting out either to see the dentist or to go and do something exciting is really good.”

For Frances, being able to not only travel in comfort but to actually see out the window of her new WAV has been an added bonus:

“I’m at the right height in the back; I can look out the window! In the other WAV I was too high.”

Summarising how she feels about eHorizon™, Frances tells us, “Having a good vehicle to move you around makes a big difference in your life. Wonderful.”
