The countdown is on for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and as Official Accessibility Partner, we couldn’t be more excited!
Whether you’re cheering on the world’s best para swimmers, watching world records smashed at Para Powerlifting, or just soaking up the electric atmosphere, Glasgow 2026 is set to be an exciting, inclusive experience from start to finish.
To help you start planning for Games time, this guide details key venues, their accessibility features and how you can make your journey to and from the Games as smooth as possible with a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV).

We’re giving away four pairs of tickets to the Athletics & Para Athletics sessions at Glasgow 2026. Seating is for one wheelchair position and one standard seat, with sessions running on 29th, 30th and 31st July at 18:30.

Tollcross International Swimming Centre
Tollcross International Swimming Centre is no stranger to the Games having hosted Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games in its competition standard 50m pool.
The venue, situated in the east end of Glasgow, will see some of the world’s best para swimmers compete for gold in the breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke and individual medley events.

Glasgow International Arena
Purpose-built for the 2014 Games, the Glasgow International Arena is home to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and Arena, named after the renowned champion cyclist.
The venue is a flexible multi-purpose facility which can be adapted for a wide variety of sports such as badminton, athletics, netball and gymnastics, but at this years Games, the Arena will host track Cycling and Para Track Cycling.

Scotstoun Stadium
Located in the West end of Glasgow, Scotstoun Stadium is part of the Scotstoun Sports Campus and home to the Glasgow Warriors.
Boasting a 400m outdoor track and a 100m indoor sprint track inside the main stand, Scotstoun is perfectly suited for this year’s Athletics and Para Athletics.

Scottish Event Campus (SEC)
The SEC is made up of the SEC Centre, the iconic Armadillo and The Hydro. Over the course of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, the campus will be home to six sports.
The Hydro
Officially opened in 2013, The Hydro is a 14,300-capacity arena that hosts international musical stars, global entertainment and sporting events. At Glasgow 2026, the arena will be home to Netball.

The SEC Armadillo
Designed by the world-renowned architectural practice, Foster & Partners, the Armadillo is one of the most iconic buildings in Glasgow. This will be the second time that the Armadillo has hosted Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting for the Commonwealth Games, having previously hosted in 2014.

The SEC Centre
The SEC Centre (previously known as the SECC) has a combined area of over 22,000sqm, typically hosting large exhibitions, events and concerts in one of its five interconnected exhibition and meeting rooms.
