Just for the Kidz – Innovative Mobility Cars

A frosty winter’s day didn’t stop Allied Mobility and thousands of visitors heading to the Reebok stadium in Bolton for the annual Kidz Up North exhibition.

The free event is dedicated to children with disabilities and special needs, their families and carers.

Just as winter seems to have arrived early this year, so Allied Mobility was quick of the mark to book space in the mobility cars zone – a new feature at this year’s show.  With a wide range of wheelchair accessible vehicles to choose from, Allied staff plumped for displaying the Peugeot Partner Horizon and the Peugeot Expert Independence.

Innovative Mobility Cars

As the UK’s most popular mobility car, the Horizon offers something for everyone, while the Independence offers a slightly larger WAV, with extra space for larger families or small groups.  Allied’s team was also able to arrange home demonstrations of all its otherwheelchair car models as well.

Allied Mobility consultants Peter and Neil were on hand to provide full information on the vehicles, advice on the Motability Scheme and to arrange car demonstrations.

As well as the car zone, Kids Up North brought together a range of exhibitors, products and services, from mobility aids and wheelchair suppliers to disability sports organisations and charities, giving visitors the chance to view a variety of options and services all under the one roof.

Allied Mobility’s Simon Guilliatt commented: “It’s always nice to show our cars to people who have maybe never had a chance to see them before.  People here have been especially impressed with the FlatFold ramp on the Horizon and the extra space in the Independence.”
