Kidz in the Middle Main

The fourth annual Kidz in the Middle event took place in Coventry recently.  Allied Mobility was delighted to support the event, bringing along its popular Peugeot Horizon wheelchair car.

Held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, home of Coventry City Football Club, the event gives families with disabled children and their carers the chance to look at the many products and services available to assist those with a disability.

Allied Mobility’s Peugeot Partner Horizon proved a big draw for visitors who were keen to find out more about the UK’s best selling wheelchair cars.  With a lowered floor and unique FlatFold™ wheelchair ramp it’s easy to see why the Horizon is the most popular wheelchair accessible car on the Motability Cars Scheme.

Clowning Around

Corky the Clown also joined the Allied Mobility team on the day.  Corky flexed his creative skills by producing all manner of balloon models for the kids, from swords and poodles to parrots and flowers.  He even had some adults queuing up to get a model of their own!

Allied Mobility Consultant, Richard Holmes, commented: “It’s always nice to attend events like these and talk to people about Allied Mobility’s wide range of wheelchair accessible vehicles.  It gives us a chance to speak to people who maybe didn’t know much about wheelchair cars before.

“The atmosphere at the show was really fun filled and the response to our wheelchair converted Peugeot Partner was brilliant.  It really was a great day all round!”

This year’s show had different areas dedicated to various services including a sports arena where children could participate in inclusive activities.  Also popular was the Funding Point area, which provided information and advice about alternative funding streams for disability equipment and much more.

With over 100 exhibitors in attendance the show gave visitors access to a wide range of experts in various fields.  From wheelchair accessible vehicle converters to mobility aids and wheelchair providers, Kidz in the Middle had it covered.
