More Mascots with the Help of Allied Mobility

We’re firm believers in making people’s lives better, whether that’s by manufacturing quality wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) or even donating to a worthy cause.

Helping the Community

Ceri Davies set up the charity, More Mascots Please, in 2013 and runs it with help from family members and personal assistants.  The organisation hosts extra special parties filled with fun, face painting, games and larger than life character mascots, all for a good cause.  These events are especially for young people living with serious or terminal illnesses or who are disadvantaged in some way.  The More Mascots Please team plan the parties with the aim of bringing a little sparkle into the lives of the children who need it most.  Thanks to a donation from Allied Mobility, we’ve helped Ceri add another character to her growing crew of mascots – a lovable lizard!

WAV’s the Way

Ceri’s no stranger to Allied Mobility having had several of our wheelchair accessible vehicles over the years – choosing the same model each time.  Ceri’s tried and tested Volkswagen Vista™ gives her the freedom to plan and travel to events throughout the area as well as letting her enjoy her hobbies when she’s not hard at work. Ceri has Cerebral Palsy and when she was looking for her first mobility vehicle, she wanted a safe and flexible option to fit in with her lifestyle. After deciding on Vista™, she never looked back and is now on her third!

Ceri explains: “I’m on my third WAV now. I’ve stuck with the Volkswagen Vista™ each time as it suits my needs so well.”

More Support, More Smiles

With Allied Mobility’s latest donation, Ceri is keen to get back in her WAV and back to the work that means so much to her.  As the world gradually returns to normal after a tricky year, we’re thrilled to have helped Ceri and the More Mascots Please team get the party back in full swing.

Ceri says: “We’re so grateful to Allied Mobility.  Not only will the donation help us make children smile but personally, Allied Mobility has helped me gain the independence to help others.”
