Motability’s Big Days in Liverpool and Newcastle

Motability’s colourful One Big Day events found their way to the North of England recently and, as usual, drew huge interest from the local community.

Allied Mobility was delighted to support the latest One Big Days, taking the opportunity to showcase Britain’s most popular wheelchair accessible mobility car, the Peugeot Partner Horizon.

One Big Day Northumberland

Held in the attractive setting of Newcastle Racecourse, One Big Day Northumberland was the fourth of the five One Big Days held by Motability over the summer. With more than 1,500 visitors and over 40 mobility cars on display the event was a great success.  Attendees were able to get hands-on experience driving standard and adapted cars and over 200 test drives were taken on the day.

Allied’s Peugeot Horizon was on display for visitors to see at first hand and our expert mobility advisors were kept busy providing information and advice on the Horizon and other models in our wide range of wheelchair accessible mobilty cars.

Horizon is the UK’s favourite wheelchair accessible vehicle. It offers plenty of space and brilliant accessibility for wheelchairs and scooters alike. It even comes with Allied Mobility’s unique FlatFold™ ramp, which folds flat to the floor when it’s not in use, making Horizon the most versatile wheelchair accessible vehicle around.

At One Big Day Northumberland there was something for everyone, from face-painting to balloon modelling.  Visitors even enjoyed a special visit from the Motability mascot ‘Billy the Bear’.

One Big Day Liverpool

The final One Big Day of 2013 was held at the famous Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool and was a great round-off to this year’s events. With a massive attendance of nearly 2,800 people, Allied Mobility had a brilliant day meeting visitors and showing off the popular Peugeot Horizon. A massive 272 test drives were taken in total on the day!

Event organiser, Luke Snowden, enthused: “Motability’s One Big Day events allow anyone interested in finding out more about leasing a car, scooter or powered wheelchair through Motability the chance to do so. There are plenty of opportunities to talk to experts and enjoy a great day out.
