Allied Mobility is thrilled to announce a new sponsorship deal to support the Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (WDSA).  WDSA is the governing body for wheelchair dance competition and works with 45 affiliated local clubs across the UK.

Wheel Come Dancing

Allied Mobilty will be sponsoring the charity throughout next year, including a special Wheel Come Dancing event, in Luton, in June. Stars from BBC1’s top entertainment show, Strictly Come Dancing, Karen Hauer and Kevin Clifton, have also been adding some Cha Cha Chato promotion of this major fundraising event.

The Wheelchair Dance Sport Association is a non-profit charity.  It’s driven by members and staff who share a passion for making wheelchair dance a regular sport and activity for all. The charity has directly experienced how participation in dancing has transformed disabled people’s lives.

WDSA goes by the motto that ‘anyone can do anything’, which has been demonstrated by top dancers from the Association competing both regionally and nationally. The new sponsorship by Allied Mobility will help WDSA promote dance to many more wheelchair users, allowing more people to get involved in this exciting and rewarding activity.

Awareness

Wheelchair Dance business development director, Patrick McGeough, states: “This sponsorship opportunity between the WDSA and Allied Mobility will help us to grow the sport of wheelchair dance across the UK.

“Allied’s support has laid the foundation for WDSA to run a major new competition in the UK and provides support to allow us to promote our awareness events.

“We hope that with the added support of Allied sponsorship and customers WDSA will be able to raise more money and help us enable more disabled people to be engaged and active in the sport.”

Commitment

Peter Facenna, sales director at Allied Mobility, comments, “We’re really delighted to offer our support and commitment to such a dedicated charity.

“WDSA provides disabled people with a fantastic opportunity to participate in dance sport and to feel included and empowered.

“We believe that all sport should be inclusive, no matter what your personal circumstances and are more than happy to be able to give a little back to the community through this new initiative.”

WDSA UK and Allied Mobility are ecstatic about their newly formed partnership and hope this will encourage future sponsorship opportunities with other companies.
