Switching from a standard car to a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) can make travelling that bit easier and safer as rather than transferring to a passenger seat, the wheelchair user can enter and ride in the car from the comfort of their wheelchair.
A keen member of theatre group Chickenshed, Charles Turrell is no stranger to the stage. To get him to rehearsals safely, his mum, Carol, knew it was time to switch from a standard car to a WAV.

Making the Move to a WAV
The duo, from Epping, first came across us at the Motability Big Event Essex after Carol was medically recommended to look at WAVs. Carol continues, “We’ve also personalised the car by putting our own car mats inside with Charles and Carol on it.”
