Georgina Coleman had the same thought which is why she founded Purpldiscounts.com, the UK’s first ever disabled discount website offering savings on high street brands, disability aids and much more!
Founded by a Disabled Person for Disabled People
Living with both multiple sclerosis (MS) and ADHD, Georgina understands how expensive life as a disabled person can be. She launched Purpl in the summer of 2024 with the vision to help disabled people save money, regardless of their disability.
Although there are already plenty of savings to be made on the site, the Purpl team are constantly working on securing more money-saving discounts for the disabled community. Plus, you can gain access to disability resources and enjoy news stories and lifestyle content with Purpl Life.
Saving Money and Giving Back
As the company becomes more profitable it is Georgina’s mission to give a percentage of Purpl’s profits to disabled charities with the long-term goal being to establish a charitable foundation to give back to the disabled community. So, by saving money on the site you will also be giving back to others.
How to Join Purpl Discounts
If you’re interested in making some savings with Purpl Discounts, then follow these four simple steps:
Step One: Check If Your Eligible
To enjoy Purpl Discount’s savings, you will first need to check you are eligible to sign up. The company accepts 15 different ‘proof of disability’ documents. To learn if you’re eligible click here.
Step Two: Register
Once you know you are eligible to join, you will need to register a Purpl Discount account. Start by clicking the green Join button at the top right-hand side of the website. This will bring up a form which will ask for your name, password and email address.
Step Three: Upload and Verify Your Disability Document
Once you have submitted your registration form, a ‘verify your status’ screen will appear. Here you will have to choose which disability document you will be using and upload a photo of it. For more details on how to upload your document correctly, you can find a document upload guide here.
Step Four: Start Saving!
Once you have registered an account and uploaded and verified your disability document, you can start saving!
