Boost for Wheelchair Rugby

BT have agreed to a three year sponsorship deal of GB Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR), becoming their new Official Principal Partner.

Team GB is ranked number one in Europe and number five in the world.  It’s hoped the support from BT will help the team maintain and improve their excellent position.

Not only will the team benefit from the partnership as they prepare for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games but we’ll be able to build our Club National Championships and get more people than ever playing the game in their local communities.”

Creating and Developing

BT is also planning to support several wheelchair rugby community programmes by creating three new clubs and developing six youth teams.  Over the next three year, the aim is to introduce up to 400 young people to the sport through introductory sessions.
