Disability newspaper, All Together NOW, is celebrating after scooping the Best Magazine of the Year award at the annual How-Do Media Awards.
The health and disability paper, which is published and distributed in the North West of England, impressed judges as it has bucked the trend in declining circulations thanks to innovative partnerships with public and private sector organisations.
In the last six months the publication has doubled it’s circulation to 110,000 copies, reaching nearly half a million readers across the North West, with ninety per cent of copies being picked up in supermarkets, hospitals and health centres.
Covering a range of topics from the latest disability news to mobility cars and disability sport, it’s easy to see why the newspaper is experiencing a speedy rise in popularity. Even more impressive is the fact the publication is a registered charity and relies entirely on support from sponsors, advertisers and subscribers.
National Recognition
Tom Dowling, All Together NOW Coordinator and Editor, collected the award at a glittering ceremony held at the Lancashire County Cricket Club. He commented: “This is a fantastic boost. We’ve had some terrific support from so many people – and especially from our sponsors. Without their magnificent and ongoing support we simply would not be in this position. I can’t thank them enough.”
All Together NOW received further recognition at national level after being commended in the Niche Newspaper of the Year category at the recent Newspaper Awards in London.
Future plans for the magazine will see the distribution further increased by 30% over the next year, bringing the total reach to 560,000 readers. As a supporter of the magazine, Allied Mobility would like to congratulate everyone at All Together NOW on their success.
