Ten Years of All Together NOW!

Popular Liverpool based disability newspaper, All Together NOW, is celebrating its ten year anniversary.  To mark the occasion, founder of property development company Redrow, Steve Morgan, has donated a brand new delivery van to the charity from his foundation – The Morgan Foundation.

The paper, which is free, is distributed to over 150 venues thoughout the North West every two months

The paper, which is free, is distributed to over 150 venues thoughout the North West every two months, with around 110,000 copies of each issue produced.  Up until now deliveries were made by a dedicated team of drivers using their own cars, but the new van will make deliveries much easier.

Brilliant Publication

Steve Morgan says: “All Together NOW! is a brilliant publication.  There’s no denying the important social contribution that it’s making.  The Morgan Foundation is a long standing supporter of the paper and is proud to be associated with the charity’s work.”

“Their new van will bring many benefits.  Apart from making it easier to distribute the paper, the fully branded vehicle will raise awareness about All Together NOW! and will attract even more supporters”.

The newspaper is packed full of stories and articles relating to disability and health, and is distributed around supermarkets, hospitals and health centres in the North West of England.  The last few years have seen the paper go from strength to strength, including collecting a Highly Commended award for Specialist Publication at last year’s O2 Media Awards.

Making a Difference

The paper was started in 2005 by Tom Dowling, who uses a wheelchair.  Tom was shot in the spine in Iran in 1974, whilst traveling with friends and has been paralysed from the waist down ever since.  Tom, a journalist, left his job at the Liverpool Echo to start a community newspaper which would make a social difference to people of all abilities, and All Together NOW! was born.
