Your New-Look Home Demonstrations  

At Allied Mobility your safety and welfare continue to be our number one priority while we navigate through the ‘new normal’ of COVID-19.  We’ve made some key changes to the way we’ll provide your free home demonstration of your chosen wheelchair accessible vehicle.  

How to Book a Free Home Demonstration  

This process hasn’t changed.  First, let’s choose the right wheelchair accessible car to meet your particular needs 

All our vehicles and the latest Motability Advance Payments or cash prices are detailed on our website.  Our expert mobility advisors are on hand, by phone or email, to answer any questions you may have before you decide which wheelchair accessible vehicle is right for you.

Your local mobility consultant will then arrange to visit your home, at a time that suits you, with the wheelchair accessible vehicle(s) of your choice.   They’ll demonstrate the accessible features of the car, answer any questions you may have and can even help you complete the necessary paperwork.  

So, What’s Different?  

First off, you’ll notice that your mobility consultant will be wearing a single-use mask and disposable gloves.  This is for both your safety and theirs.  We would ask you to consider wearing something that could provide extra protection such as a scarf or a mask if you have one.  Your demonstration vehicle will have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before arrival.  

Where we would normally be quite ‘hands on’ with your demonstration, we’ll now be following social distance guidelines and demonstrating the accessible parts of the vehicle while you stand or sit two metres away.  We’ll demonstrate as many times as you need before we thoroughly sanitise anything we’ve come into contact with and move away to let you try the car for yourself.  We’ll still be able to give you advice and instructions from a safe distance.  

Taking Your Order  

If you’re a Motability customer, we’ll help place your order from a safe distance.  We’ll have to take photographs of certain documents but we can arrange for you to leave these on your doorstep, stand back from a safe distance, and collect them again when we’re done.  Similarly, you’ll have to sign our digital tablet to confirm your order.  We’ll ensure we disinfect this before we leave it in a safe place for you.    

As the government guidelines change, we will adhere to whatever these may be at the current time.  In any event, your safety and welfare is our number one priority at all times.  We want you to feel comfortable throughout your demonstration and invite you to let your local mobility consultant know if you have any concerns about the way the demonstration is being conducted.   

Your Delivery  

We’re also taking similar precautions when it’s time to deliver your new wheelchair accessible vehicle.   Your driver will be wearing personal protective equipment, your vehicle will be thoroughly sanitised before it arrives and your mobility driver will clean anything they’ve come into contact with.  You can find out more information HERE 

Immediate Delivery
